"I really enjoyed Dr Hall's training on SEND Appeals for trainees because it
was interactive, paced and passionately presented. I entered with little knowledge and no experience (yet) of 'tribunals' and left feeling informed and empowered that when my time does come it is not going to be me against 'three men'. Already I have it reframed in my mind not as a tribunal but a SEND appeal which is a multidisciplinary process. The EP does not decide or lead, therefore, is not expected to know and handle everything. I learned about the importance of utilising communication skills by carefully listening to questions asked and explicitly answering in order to get the job done effectively and with most ease. I gained a deeper understanding of the appeals process and the links to HCPC competencies as a practitioner in training. I felt Dr Hall's zeal for social justice and enjoyed the humorous approach to what can be a daunting process for some. I strangely look forward to when my time does come because I will have the comfort of knowing I have Dr Hall's
