PERSONAL JOURNEY

Dr Hall is the lead Senior Practitioner at Hall and Co EPS.  Dr Hall is a Senior Educational Psychologist with more than 18 years of experience of working in the education system and with children and young people.
Dr Hall completed a degree in Psychological Sciences (Psychology with Neuroscience) before achieving the Post Graduate Certificate in Education, specialising in Early Years and Primary.  Dr Hall worked as a nursery nurse before undertaking intensive teacher training, working as a qualified teacher for a number of years.  During this time, Dr Hall also worked at a Special School, developing a particular interest in working with children in the Early Years with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Dr Hall undertook further qualifications and training as a counsellor, and as a Youth Mentor, before being chosen to embark on the extremely rigorous and highly selective Professional Doctorate course in Education and Child Psychology.
From 2010, Dr Hall has worked within a number Local Authority’ Educational Psychology Services and has been practising as a Senior Educational Psychologist since 2019.  Dr Hall has worked closely with doctoral training courses as a field work tutor to Trainee Educational Psychologists and has delivered training as a Visiting University Lecturer on topics of specific interest (e.g. EHCPs and SEND Appeals).
Finally, Dr Hall is also a mother and thoroughly enjoys balancing the joys of parenthood and working with the children of others.

- Counselling skills - Level 2 (BACP).
- Advanced Counselling Skills - Level 3 (NCFE).
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE Teacher Training).
- Doctorate in Education and Child Psychology. 
- Advanced Supervision skills (BPS Accredited).
- HCPC registered. 
- Meets all CPD standards.
- Fully Insured and DBS checked.

SPECIAL INTERESTS

- Early identification and intervention for children in the Early Years/Under 5, particularly those with developmental delay or showing signs of or diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. 
- Full assessments of children in Primary who are struggling to make progress or who are displaying challenging behaviours. 
- Assessments to support Education Health and Care Plans for children from birth to 18.
- Assessments to explore Cognition and Learning skills of children from 6-17 years.
- SEMH and Emotion Based School Avoidance in KS3/KS4.
- Delivering training to EPs and Trainee EPs on EHCPs and SEND Appeals.
