PERSONAL JOURNEY
Dr Hall is our AWARD WINNING lead Senior Educational and Child Psychologist at Hall and Co EPS with around 20 years of experience of working in the education system and with children and young people. Dr Hall is based in London and Essex and has recently won ‘The Sole Trader of the Year’ award in the Brentwood Business Awards.
Dr Hall completed a degree in Psychological Sciences (Psychology with Neuroscience) before achieving the Post Graduate Certificate in Education, specialising in Early Years and Primary. She worked as a nursery nurse before undertaking intensive teacher training, working as a qualified teacher for a number of years. During this time, Dr Hall gained additional experience at a Special School, developing a particular interest in working with children in the Early Years with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She undertook further qualifications and training as a counsellor, and as a Youth Mentor, before being chosen to embark on the extremely rigorous and highly selective Professional Doctorate course in Education and Child Psychology at a prestigious London University.
From 2010, Dr Hall has worked within a number of Local Authority’ Educational Psychology Services and has been practising as a Senior Educational Psychologist since 2019. She has worked closely with doctoral training courses as a field work tutor to Trainee Educational Psychologists and has delivered training as a Visiting University Lecturer on topics of specific interest (e.g. EHCPs and SEND Appeals). Dr Hall also currently works as the Lead Visitor for a professional council to determine if educational courses/settings are meeting the appropriate standards, in line with relevant legislation.
Finally, Dr Hall is a mother and thoroughly enjoys balancing the joys of parenthood and working with the children of others. She is a passionate writer, with features in the global press, and she is a national Keynote Speaker.

- Advanced Counselling Skills - Level 3 (NCFE).
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE Teacher Training).
- Doctorate in Education and Child Psychology.
- Advanced Supervision skills (BPS Accredited).

- Meets all CPD standards.

SPECIAL INTERESTS

Dr Hall is a Senior Educational and Child Psychologist who is trained to work with children 0-25 years old but who has a special interest in supporting young children in the earlier years (0–7). Her work focuses particularly on children who may be experiencing developmental, communication, or social-emotional differences.
Clinical interests include:
• Autism and social communication differences in the early years.
• Speech, language and communication needs.
• Social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Early identification and support for neurodivergent children.
• Working collaboratively with nurseries and schools to support inclusive practice.
PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS AND MEDIA EXPERIENCE
Alongside Dr Hall's clinical work, she has a particular interest in how early childhood experiences shape behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and development.
Areas of focus include:
• Attachment-informed approaches to behaviour.
• Parenting in the early years.
• Play, boredom and child development.
• Supporting children to develop independence and emotional regulation.
• Screen-light childhoods and the importance of real-world play.
• Trauma-informed and relational approaches in early education.
Dr Hall regularly contributes to conversations about early childhood, parenting, and behaviour through writing, media contributions, and professional talks. She is featured globally in the press providing commentary on many topics relating to parenting, education, and child psychology.
